Scorpions are often found in the desert, and it is common knowledge that they can’t swim. However, a new study has been released by scientists who have discovered that scorpions can actually swim! This poses an interesting question: what else do we think about these creatures that just might not be true? The scorpion study was conducted by a team of researchers from the University of Sydney in Australia. The scientists discovered that some species can swim when they are underwater, but not on land (since their claws and legs are too heavy). The aquatic specimens were able to stay afloat for up to three minutes before sinking below the surface again. In addition, if you’re worried about getting stung while swimming with these creatures, don’t be! They prefer staying near water because it keeps them cool during hot days without having to find shade or burrow underground like other types of arachnids do. In fact, most people who get stung by scorpions usually have an allergic reaction rather than being bitten maliciously.” More
